Welcome to Archer & Sons – your trusted local solution for mobile device repairs, PC and laptop upgrades, and more. As a small, independent business, we strive to provide quality, honest, and personalized service. Please review the following terms and conditions that apply to all services provided.

1. General Disclaimer

By booking a repair or requesting service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Repairs & Services Offered

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Mobile phone screen replacements and repairs
  • Tablet repairs
  • PC and laptop upgrades (e.g. HDD to SSD conversions, RAM upgrades)
  • System diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Data migration and cloning

Due to the dynamic nature of technology and part availability, all services are subject to parts availability and may vary by device model.

3. Parts Availability & Turnaround Time

As a small business, we don’t carry every part in stock at all times. In cases where a part needs to be ordered:

  • Standard shipping usually takes 2 business days.
  • Overnight shipping is available upon request at an additional cost.
  • A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your appointment and cover part of the cost of ordered parts.

Delays in shipping, supplier issues, or unforeseen events may affect turnaround time. We will communicate any delays as soon as possible.

4. Pricing and Estimates

Due to the fluctuating cost of parts and the wide range of devices and repair types:

  • Prices are provided upon request or during diagnostic.
  • All quotes are estimates only and subject to change based on parts, labor, and complexity.
  • For PC/Laptop upgrades, typical pricing starts at $249+ (especially when upgrading to larger SSDs or additional RAM).

No work will be done without your approval of the estimated cost.

5. Deposits & Payment Terms

  • A deposit is required for any service that involves special-order parts.
  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the repair cannot be completed due to issues on my end.
  • Full payment is due upon completion of services.

6. No Fix, No Fee (Where Applicable)

If we are unable to complete a repair due to unavailability of parts or a determination that the device is beyond economical repair:

  • Diagnostic fees may still apply, but no further charges will be incurred without your consent.

7. Limited Warranty

All our work is guaranteed to last, having gone through rigorous 31-point service testing and inspections, verifying every aspect is working and functioning reliably. Done by myself individually. I test each device thoroughly and won’t sell or hand a repaired device to a customer until it passes my standard and quality control.” It’s not good enough unless it’s good enough for Mom.”

  • This warranty does not cover physical damage (e.g. drops, cracks), water damage, or issues unrelated to the original repair.
  • Any warranty claims must be inspected and verified in person.

8. Data & Liability Disclaimer

While we take great care to protect your data:

  • It is your responsibility to back up your data before bringing in your device.
  • We are not liable for data loss, corruption, or hardware failure during or after service.
  • For data recovery or migration services, specific consent may be required.

9. Abandoned Devices

Devices left unclaimed for more than 30 days after service completion will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to recycle, resell, or dispose of such items to cover costs incurred.

10. Customer Conduct & Expectations

Mutual respect and clear communication are essential. We will always:

  • Provide honest, upfront information
  • Never perform unnecessary repairs
  • Respect your time and privacy
